Students and their families and supporters enjoyed a perfect fall weekend at BGSU
Hundreds of Falcon families and supporters of all ages descended upon Bowling Green State University Oct. 18-20 for Falcon Family Weekend 2024, enjoying the picturesque fall foliage and summerlike temperatures as they explored the campus and community.
From celebrating the Falcons' thrilling victory over Kent State to dueling pianos and eating pizza and pie with BGSU President Rodney K. Rogers, the weekend’s festivities offered families a glimpse into why BGSU is ranked the No. 1 public university in Ohio for student experience and opportunities.

2024 Falcon Family Weekend Recap
Welcome Falcon families
Falcon families began arriving on campus Friday afternoon, with many stopping at the iconic BGSU letters outside the Bowen-Thompson Student Union to snap some photos.
Dueling pianos
Families dining at Social House at The Oaks were treated to fun Halloween-themed musical entertainment by the Midwest Dueling Pianos.
President Rogers’ family weekend football tailgate
Families and students joined President Rogers for a tailgate before the Falcons faced the Golden Flashes in Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
BGSU vs. Kent State
The Falcons defeated Kent State 27-6 in front of more than 20,000 fans at The Doyt, moving to 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference.
Pie with the president
Falcon families joined President Rogers and University advocate Dr. Sandra B. Earle for pizza and pie at Carillon Place to celebrate the Falcons’ victory.
