Global digital transformation leader to deliver public lecture at BGSU on the transformative power of generative AI

Dr. Darren Pulsipher will present “Harnessing Generative AI for Unmatched Creativity and Efficiency”

Dr. Darren Pulsipher, an author, innovator and podcast host who is a world-renowned leader in digital transformation, will give a public lecture at Bowling Green State University on the transformative power of generative AI and its ability to enhance creativity, improve productivity and streamline workflows.

Pulsipher has spoken extensively on the topic as a frequent presenter for Fortune 500 companies and government entities and will deliver an engaging keynote address at 3 p.m. on April 1 in Room 101 in Olscamp Hall.  

“The future isn’t about competing with AI; it’s about embracing it to stay ahead, unlocking new possibilities and shaping the world we want to live in," Pulsipher said.

The free public event, “Harnessing Generative AI for Unmatched Creativity and Efficiency,” is part of the BGSU Center for Faculty Excellence AI in Higher Ed Series, exploring the ongoing impact of generative AI in higher education. As a comprehensive public university, BGSU is committed to embracing new technologies to enhance and elevate the learning environment.

"Given the rapid development of generative AI tools and their impact on teaching and learning in higher education, it is essential that faculty, instructors and students develop their AI and digital literacy skills," said Dr. Chelsea Chandler, director of the BGSU Center for Faculty Excellence. "It will be important to balance innovation with ethical and responsible use as well as the ability to critically evaluate AI output. The Center for Faculty Excellence will continue to provide professional development opportunities that support AI and digital literacy for the BGSU community."

Pulsipher is a principal consultant at Paidar Productions LLC, a forward-thinking media and consulting company dedicated to empowering businesses and individuals to thrive in the digital age, and host and producer of the “Embracing Digital Transformations” podcast, which launched in 2020 and features more than 200 episodes.

Pulsipher has helped modernize information technology departments through his roles as chief information officer and director of engineering, focusing on data transformation, generative AI, cybersecurity, edge computing and multi-hybrid cloud data center architectures.

He has also published three books, was awarded eight patents in cloud computing and published over 100 articles.

In what has been called a funny yet informative, truth-telling presentation, Pulsipher will examine how generative AI can enhance creativity and lead to innovative solutions and new opportunities.

He will share strategies for empowering individuals and organizations to increase productivity using generative AI tools and explore real-world examples and case studies demonstrating generative AI's benefits and applications.
