Embracing Global Engagement
BGSU students have been expanding their knowledge and perspectives with studies around the globe. On Wednesday (Oct. 5), more than 20 of them will present short talks about their experiences at the annual “Embracing Global Engagement: Internships, Service- and Experiential Learning in BGSU Education Abroad Programs.”
Hosted by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship, the conference will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Dr. Andrew Gregory, a faculty member in spatial ecology from the School of Earth, Environment and Society, will give the opening address, “There and Back Again: A Tale of Global Engagement in Research and Learning,” at 9:45 a.m. in the Union Theater.
Presentations will be given in 201 Union until 4:45, with a break for refreshments from 12:45-1:30 p.m.
The University community is invited to hear students’ reflections on their international. The top presenters will receive an original glass artwork by BGSU alumnus Austin Littenberg.
