BGSU celebrates 277th commencement
BOWLING GREEN, O.—On August 10, Bowling Green State University will honor its summer graduates with a commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. on the University Hall lawn. Over 900 diplomas will be awarded, including 396 degrees granted through the Graduate College.
The commencement speaker is 1975 graduate Linda Watters, vice president of government relations at John Hancock Life Insurance in Boston, Mass. Prior to joining John Hancock, Watters was a managing director for financial risk management at the Chicago offices of KPMG, one of the largest professional services networks in the world and among the Big Four auditors.
She was named BGSU’s Homecoming Queen in 1972 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from BGSU and a master’s of business administration from the University of Dayton. In 2012, Watters was inducted into the BGSU Academy of Distinguished Alumni
