In the summertime, I enjoy lying out by the pool and indulging in a good book. I am a big proponent of reading a book and watching the movie, but I think you have to read the book first in order to gain a complete understanding. Movies don't always allow time for the intricate details and they often change the story a little. Here are some of my favorite books that are also movies.
- Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
One of my favorite novels is "Safe Haven," by Nicholas Sparks. I started reading it while lying out by the pool on Spring Break and finished it in three days. The novel was so compelling that it had me on the edge of my seat, and I was anxious to see the movie when it finally came out. - My Sister's Keeper - by Jodi Picoult
Another one of my favorites is "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. It was one of the most heartbreaking novels I have ever read and brought me to tears as I read it, but it was so well written and touches on a very sensitive issue. - Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner
- Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
- 102 Minutes: The Untold Story of the Fight to Survive Inside the Twin Towers by Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn
