BGSU President part of Wilson search committee

BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University President Carol Cartwright is part of the committee tasked with finding a new director for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. The Center’s current director, Lee Hamilton, is retiring.

Cartwright is a former trustee and current Chair of the Wilson Center Board of Trustees Fellowship Committee. She joins a distinguished group on the search committee, including Hon. Charles Cobb, Jr., trustee and former U.S. Ambassador to Iceland; Dr. James Billington, trustee and Librarian of Congress; Hon. Joseph Gildenhorn, trustee and former U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Dr. Donna Shalala, former trustee, President of the University of Miami and former U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary.

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is the national, living memorial honoring President Woodrow Wilson. In providing an essential link between the worlds of ideas and public policy, the Center addresses current and emerging challenges confronting the United States and the world. Created by an Act of Congress in 1968, the Center is a non-partisan institution headquartered in Washington.
