BGSU celebrates Earth Week 2010
BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University will go “green” next week with a series of events to celebrate Earth Week 2010.
Sunday (April 18) students are invited to camp out in the lawn next to the Bell Tower. The event starts at 8 p.m., weather permitting.
Wednesday, April 21, students, staff, faculty and community members will be participating in a number of service projects including tree planting from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and a cleanup of the pond and “wild” area just east of the College of Technology from
5-6 p.m.
Earth Day officially gets under way on Thursday, April 22, with an Eco-Fair on the Union Quad from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be over 30 displays and presentations on green and environmental issues. While you’re there, head over to the Orange Bike “Community Bikeshare” program kickoff. You can “test drive” an orange bike around campus and register for the program.
