Jeremy Marks serves as the Assistant Professor of Trombone at Bowling Green State University. As an educator, he has held positions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University of Louisiana at Monroe, Blinn College (TX), and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and former Trombone Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. His students have earned honors at local, state, regional, and national levels, and have continued graduate studies at competitive music programs. Students have also participated in the Santa Fe Trombone Summit (Southwest Trombone Conference), the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute, and the Bar Harbor Brass Festival.  

Jeremy's versatile orchestral career on tenor and bass trombone have afforded opportunities to perform with the Charlotte Symphony, Augusta Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Virginia Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, Greensboro Symphony, Winston Salem Symphony, and with artist Andrea Bocelli. His doubling credits on bass trumpet and euphonium have been with Austin Symphony and Canton Symphony orchestras.  Respectively, Jeremy has held tenor and bass trombone positions with the Asheville Symphony, Western Piedmont Symphony, Monroe Symphony, Sherman Symphony, Brazos Valley Symphony, North Carolina Brass Band, and a one-year interim with Opera Carolina.

An avid chamber musician, Jeremy is a member of the Northside Trombone Quartet, winners of the 2013 International Trombone Association Quartet Competition. He serves as the Artistic Director of the Carolina Trombone Project, a professional trombone choir of musicians from North Carolina and South Carolina that champion new, accessible trombone ensemble repertoire. CTP's debut album, Mountain Ascent was released in February 2023 receiving critical acclaim by numerous publications, including the International Trombone Association Journal. Jeremy also recorded Scenes from the Bayou (2019) with the Black Bayou Brass through Mark Customs record label.  

Jeremy has performed and presented at the International Trombone Festival, the American Trombone Workshop, the International Women's Brass Conference, the Big XII Trombone Conference, the North Carolina Trombone Festival, and numerous local and state conferences. Jeremy is an active member of the International Trombone Association, publishing audio and literature reviews. He is an S.E. Shires Trombone Artist and exclusively plays Greg Black Mouthpieces.  

Jeremy earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Master of Music degree from Western Michigan University, and Bachelor of Music degree from Bowling Green State University. His teachers include Dr. Nathaniel Brickens, Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger, Dr. William Mathis, Garth Simmons, and Charles Villarubia.
