Tonal Eclipse - Bowling Green State University
Tonal Eclipse is Bowling Green State University's premier competitive mixed a cappella group, founded in the fall of 2011. They regularly look to perform their repertoire of songs at a variety of events at BGSU, the surrounding community, and at ICCAs. After winning best arrangement for the past two consecutive years at the Midwest Quarterfinals, Tonal cannot wait for another busy and exciting year! Like all of the groups on campus, Tonal encompasses a wide variety of majors and courses of study, and places value in celebrating the multitude of musical backgrounds that exist among their members. They place a great emphasis on solidifying bonds between each other and with members of the other musical organizations on campus. Tonal Eclipse is proud to host the first ever Accapalooza here at BGSU and we thank you all so much for being here!
Retrograde - Bowling Green State University
Retrograde is a competitive mixed A Cappella group comprised of 17 members. Retrograde was founded in 2021. Our members are very excitied for a busy year full of fun music. This is retrograde's first year wanting to compete and they're very excited to share some music with everyone today!
Sedoctave - Ball State University
Sedoctave is Ball State University's only a cappella group with all voice parts. We are a part of the Association of Collegiate Acappella on campus in Muncie, Indiana. We love doing both solo shows and collaborating with the other talented groups at Ball State. We sing variety of music, from Soul all the way to Rock and Roll. We love wearing black and gold. Founded in 2015, we are coming up on our 10th year singing! We often compete in ICCAs, and placed 3rd in the quarterfinals twice. We are a very diverse group, and above all we love to have fun! We hope you enjoy our songs tonight.
Soundtracks - Purdue University
Purdue Soundtracks A Cappella is a student-run vocal ensemble which aims to create a community of music for its members through the rehearsal and performance of acapella arrangements. The group is SSAATTBB and its repertoire consists of primarily contemporary music. As an organization, Purdue Soundtracks A cappella seeks to provide a vocal opportunity for those seeking a more intimate singing experience. Looking forward, Soundtracks looks to foster interest from students of all backgrounds on and off campus. The organization seeks to represent Purdue to the best of their ability both now and in the future through a variety of events, ranging from concerts, to competitions, to community events and associated activities.
Ten40! - Bowling Green State University
Since the group's founding in 2007, Ten40! has established itself as the premier Tenor/Bass pop a cappella group at Bowling Green State University. The group prides itself on community, musicality, and unforgettable moments of fun both on stage and around campus. This year's group is made of 19 musicians that come from a wide variety of majors and years. Ten40! is incredibly excited to be sharing the stage with all of our new aca-friends tonight! Featuring songs by Cyndi Lauper, The Spice Girls, and The Foo Fighters, we hope that tonight’s performance brings you as much joy as we have performing it!
Acouschicks - Bowling Green State University
AcousChicks is a soprano/alto pop a cappella group from Bowling Green State University. They were founded in 2015 in response to the lack of a treble sound in the a cappella scene on campus, not because of Pitch Perfect, .… though the timing is suspicious. The AcousChicks love to get out into the community and spread the joy of singing; You can spot them in their signature royal blue all over town and around Ohio. Most recently, they’ve finished a tour of highschools around the state to teach students about opportunities to keep singing in college, as well as started the year strong with a performance at the Black Swamp Arts Festival. Tonight, they’ll be taking it back with 10 minutes of your favorite oldies.
Unexpected Resolutions - Ball State University
