Winnfield Quartet fosters the creation and performance of new music featuring their unique instrumentation. The ensemble has performed at the West Fork New Music Festival, SERTEC 2022 at Kennesaw State University, UMKC, Campbell University, Salem College, Winthrop University, and UNCG.

Dr. Stephanie Ycaza is the Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a founding member of Calypsus Brass. Stephanie is active as a solo performer and masterclass clinician. She also writes and presents on the topic of Mindfulness in Music. 

Dr. Steve Landis is Part-Time Lecturer in Composition at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Steve is the bassist for the Winnfield Quartet, a section member of The Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, and the rock band, The Nonprofits.

Erik Alexander Schmidt is a percussionist based in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a performer, he frequently performs with the Winston-Salem Symphony, Greensboro Opera, and Western Piedmont Symphony. Erik is also active in performing theater theater, the Lorena Guillén Tango Ensemble, Winnfield Quartet, and the interdisciplinary SHRED ARTS project.

Dr. Amy Zigler, Associate Professor of Music at Salem College, is a pianist and musicologist specializing in the music of Dame Ethel Smyth and chamber music of the 20th and 21st centuries. She has performed as a soloist and collaborative artist in Germany, Puerto Rico, and across the southeastern United States.
