Founded in 1985, the North American Society for Sport Management has the leading academic journal and conference in the sport management field, serves over 400 members, and has many international linkages with sport management colleagues and associations in other countries and regions. Its purpose is to promote, stimulate, and encourage study, research, scholarly writing, and professional development in the area of sport management - both theoretical and applied aspects. The collection consists of constitutions, minutes, correspondence, reports, conference programs and files, subject files, publications and audio-visual materials, documenting the establishment of the NASSM and its growth and development. The records date from 1985 to the present.

Founded in 1986, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) is the largest applied sport and exercise psychology organization in the world. It was established to promote the science and practice of sport and exercise psychology, while providing an opportunity for individuals to share information related to theory development, research, and the provision of psychological services to consumers. The collection consists of six linear feet of minutes, conference programs and proceedings, officer correspondence, financial files, committee and subject files, and publications. The records date from the establishment of AASP in 1986 to 2002.
