Eligible students who combine their studies with the dietetic internship and pass the registered dietitian nutritionist credentialing exam may seek employment in a variety of settings as a registered dietitian. Dietitians work in hospitals, long term care, clinics and ambulatory settings, community and public health, food service, schools, private practice, and corporate wellness. Dietitians can specialize in areas of care ranging from sports nutrition, to renal, nutrition support, weight management, eating disorders, diabetes care, and pediatrics among others.
