MSW Curriculum

CURRICULUM

The curriculum is set up in a cohort model which assists students in socialization to the Program and provides a network of support. Regular Standing students begin courses in the fall semester, and Advanced Standing students begin courses in the summer semester. Full and part-time options are available in both program options.

The MSW area of specialized practice is Advanced Generalist. This includes both clinical and community practice. There are three focus areas within the specialization: Gerontology (older adults), Healthcare (includes physical health, behavioral health, and public health), and Children & Families. Students may select a specific focus area or take approved electives in several areas.

ACCREDITATION

The MSW Program has been fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) since June 2020.
