Jacquelyn-Lininger

Jacquelyn Lininger

I am currently a junior in the intervention specialist program.  I am involved in many clubs here on campus. I currently serve as the Event Planner for Best Buddies Bowling Green, an organization that pairs college students with adults in the community who have disabilities to create one on one friendships and promote inclusion. I am also involved in the Council for Exceptional Children and CHAARG. Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering, being with my family, reading, attending musicals, and painting.

Joshua Bock

Joshua Bock is a first-year student at Bowling Green State University. He was born in Cologne, Germany, where he spent the first 11 years of his life. After that, he moved to Pettisville, Ohio with his mother where he attended Pettisville High School. In high school, he was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and organizations. Some of these included the academic quiz team, the science fair, the STEM club, a select choir, and drama. In his senior year, he was elected to be the National Honors Society President as well as the Student Council President. He also graduated as one of two Co-Valedictorians.

Since he has arrived at BGSU, he has attempted to become just as engaged and active as he was in high school. He is currently a proud member of the BGSU Men’s Chorus, the Chapman Learning Community, the Honors Learning Community, and the Honors College. He is currently transitioning into the psychology major. Upon graduating, he would like to go to graduate school to study clinical psychology and eventually become a therapist with his own practice. He wants to actively make a difference in people’s lives and help to make the world a better place.

Tamarind-Turner

Tamarind Turner

I am a rising senior going into methods and student teaching for the upcoming academic year. I study World Language Education and hope to be a Spanish teacher! I love animals (I have a pet cat and two lovebirds) and travelling. Studying abroad in Spain last summer was one of the highlights of my college career! I love music as well and am part of the BGSU Women's Chorus. Additionally, I have been part of Omega Phi Alpha, a service sorority on campus. I work in the Center for Public Impact on campus.

Hayley-Turske

Hayley Turske

My name is Hayley Turske and I am currently a junior at Bowling Green State University. I am an Intervention Specialist major with a license that allows me to teach K-12 students with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Intensive needs. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, but found my second home at Bowling Green State University! I am a Student Ambassador for the College of Education and Human Development, I am a part of an Autism Conference Planning Team that is to be held at BGSU, and I am a member of Alpha Omicron Pi which is a Panhellenic sorority on campus! I am applying to an accelerated Master’s program in Autism and hopefully I will be able to start this Fall during my senior year. Once I graduate, I would like to teach at the high school level in a Moderate to Intensive setting!

Audrey-Schweers

Audrey Schweers

Audrey Schweers is junior from Youngstown, Ohio studying Allied Health Science with hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant. She has utilized her outside activities as ways to build relationships and give back to her community. At Bowling Green State University,  Audrey served as the President of her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta and spent her sophomore year spring break on a research-based service trip to Puerto Rico with the honors college. She is currently the President of the Honors Student Association and the Vice President of Service for the College Panhellenic Conference. Also, she is an active member of the Honors College and in the midst of completing her undergraduate research. Audrey hopes to one day be able to help students achieve their goals just as this award has helped her!

Nicole-Bowsher

Nicole Bowsher

My name is Nicole Bowsher, and I am currently a third year student at Bowling Green State University.  I am majoring in Medical Laboratory Science and completing my minor in Public Health this semester.  Service to others has always been a top priority of mine, as this fuels my desire to take on roles and responsibilities allowing me to create a positive impact on my community as a whole.  My long term goals include employment at a hospital or clinic laboratory where I will use my skills to test specimens and contribute to the diagnosis of patients.
