It is a two-year program that combines field and policy work. Applicants must be able to work in the United States. The Program accepts applicants every two years.

Rieser Fellowship The Rieser Fellowships provide up to two successful applicants with a one-time award of up to $4,000 to pursue projects that explore issues at the intersection of science, global security, and public policy, focusing on a significant aspect of nuclear security, climate stabilization, or biotechnology.
Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Scholarship The Udall Scholarship is a merit-based award to outstanding students who intend to pursue careers related to the environment. Students should have environmental career goals, but all fields are eligible to apply.
Nancy Foster Scholarship Program The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program provides support for independent graduate-level studies in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology (including all science, engineering, social science and resource management of ocean and coastal areas), particularly by women and members of minority groups.

Applicants must be a resident alien (green card holder), naturalized U.S. citizen, or child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.
Thaddeus Colson and Isabelle Saalwaechter Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship The scholarship fund provides awards up to $5,000 to female students who are residents of Kentucky majoring in environmentally related programs at public universities in Kentucky.
