Campus Resource Fair

After you check in, ease into the day while enjoying refreshments and participating in the Campus Resource Fair. All students and guests are encouraged to use this time to visit the campus department tables to learn about programs, resources and support available to you as a BGSU transfer student. And don’t forget to have your photo taken for your BG1 Card if needed.

Student-specific Morning Sessions

The following required and recommended sessions are hosted for students who are already affiliated with of the organizations/programs listed.
Not applicable on Transfer Orientation dates.

STUDENT-SPECIFIC REQUIRED SESSIONS

This session is for incoming students in the flight technology and operations specialization within the aviation program. This presentation will cover topics such as flight lab fees, pilot supplies, flight scheduling, FAA medicals and required documents. Afterward, the aviation program staff will be available to answer your questions.

Welcome FLY Program Cohort Fall 2024! We invite you to meet some of the FLY Program staff and learn more about the services and support available including our early move in program/Soaring Start to get you prepared to start the semester strong. We look forward to meeting you! Please bring family/guests and questions.

Honors College students are required to attend this meeting to learn about the Honors College and meet staff members. Family and guests are encouraged to attend.

Students who are part of a BGSU varsity athletic team are required to attend this meeting with staff members from Student Athlete Services. Family members and guests are encouraged to attend.

STUDENT-SPECIFIC RECOMMENDED SESSIONS

Recipients of the Thompson Working Families Scholarship Program - Welcome to the Thompson Scholarship Family!

We invite you to meet some of our staff and other Thompson Family Scholars that you will be working and interacting with next year. Learn more about our scholarship program and the support available, including our required early move-in program/orientation, and ask questions you still have, so you feel the most prepared for your journey ahead as a BGSU Thompson Family Scholar. This is an open house, so swing by when you have some time this morning, and feel free to bring your guests. We can't wait to meet you!


Academic Info Sessions

Students affiliated with a college or program listed below need to plan their afternoon around their required information session.

REQUIRED SESSIONS

This session introduces you to your academic home at BGSU. You will have the opportunity to learn about our common business core classes that will enable you to explore each area of business and start getting to know other students you might be seeing in your classes.

Experience making a difference with the College of Health and Human Services. Meet some of the HHS team, learn what makes HHS students successful, and leave with major-specific strategies for your first year of college and beyond. Don’t forget to pick up your free gift from the HHS team.

Learn more about being a student within the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering. Connecting with the College will include information and conversation about student success, cooperative education requirements and how to best prepare for the fall semester.

Deciding Student Program provides structured support for students to select a major and academic degree program within their first year. In this session, you will meet our Life Design Coaches and learn more about the opportunities and expectations of the Deciding Student Program. Students and family members/supporters are highly encouraged to attend together; please choose the session time that works best for your schedule. 

Students who are part of the Pathway program are required to attend this meeting to learn more about the program and get helpful information as we kick off the semester.

OPTIONAL SESSIONS

Students and their guests are invited to drop in to see us as your time permits. 

  • Sign your EDHD Commitment Card to be added to our Commitment Wall
  • Pick up your “Bring Back Bag” of information and helpful materials and small gifts
  • Have any of your remaining academic questions answered
  • Begin your initial connection with your Academic College
  • Enjoy light refreshments
