New Student Class Registration

Registration is one of the first big steps as you embark on your academic journey, thats why we want to help guide you to success. You will receive guidance from your academic advisor to ensure you know all the steps to prepare for class registration and have access to all of the resources so you can confidently register on your own throughout your time at BGSU.

New Student Class Registration

At BGSU, students are assigned an Academic Advisor and Planner as part of their journey of becoming a Falcon. Our advisors support you in achieving academic, personal and professional goals and work with you to develop an ongoing partnership during Orientation to ensure this partnership continues throughout your time at the University.

Enrolling in your classes

CCP Students: If you are a student taking BGSU CCP classes, you may register for next semester on the enrollment date listed in your MyBGSU student account. New to BGSU students will follow the “Future Freshman” registration process according to the Orientation you are attending.

During orientation, you may have the opportunity to review on your class schedule with an academic advisor. Your advisor will work with you prior to orientation on your class schedule. Meanwhile, please start submitting any completed college credit or AP scores to the BGSU Office of Admissions.

Freshmen (Spring-Semester Orientation): For students starting in the spring semester, students will receive an email to their BGSU account from their Academic Advisor and Planner with instructions to schedule an advising appointment.  Students can meet with their Academic Advisor and Planner before or after their Orientation day via phone, video, or in-person.  Your Academic Advisor and Planner will work with you to learn about potential classes and the registration process.  After the advising appointment, students will register for their own Spring semester classes.

During virtual orientation, you will meet with a staff member from the academic advising and planning team to work on your class schedule. Your appointment time will be given to you at the start of your virtual orientation session. Meanwhile, please start submitting any completed college credit or AP scores to the BGSU Office of Admissions.
