BGSU Firelands to celebrate Founders Day on Nov. 19
HURON, Ohio – Highlighting its lasting history and contributions to the region, Bowling Green State University Firelands invites members of the learning and greater community to celebrate Founders Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, on the Huron campus.
Honoring the past, present and future of BGSU Firelands, the free event will feature entertaining activities, food, historical exhibits, guest speakers and opportunities to connect with current and former students, faculty and staff and community partners.
“We are incredibly proud of the legacy BGSU Firelands has built,” BGSU Firelands Dean Allia Carter said. “Founders Day is an opportunity for us to honor the visionary leaders, dedicated faculty and hardworking students who have helped shape the college into what it is today.”
Since its founding, BGSU Firelands has been committed to providing high-quality, accessible education to students of all ages while driving cultural and economic vitality in the region and beyond.
