Democracy and Public Policy Research Network releases findings, analysis of October poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Democracy and Public Policy Research Network in the Department of Political Science at Bowling Green State University has released the results of its second web-based poll of 1,000 likely Ohio voters conducted from Oct. 10 to 21, 2024.
Topics covered in the October poll include:
- Presidential race
- Ohio U.S. Senate race
- Ohio Issue 1 and thoughts on direct democracy
- Ohioans' thoughts on popular vote vs. Electoral College
- Ohioans' views of celebrity endorsements
The nonpartisan poll of sampled Ohioans has a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percentage points. Questions nine and 10 relating to Ohio Issue 1 have a margin of error of +/- 5.14 percentage points.

For the poll, YouGov, an international online research data and analytics technology group, gathered public opinion data through questions sent in online surveys, emails and text messages.
A four-person research team in the BGSU Department of Political Science developed, ordered, tested and analyzed the questions in the poll.
