Bowling Green State University School of Nursing to hold first-ever Bachelor of Science in Nursing pinning ceremony
Bowling Green, OH -- The Bowling Green State University School of Nursing is proud to announce its first-ever Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) pinning ceremony, which will take place on Monday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m. in Olscamp Hall, Room 101. Doors for the event by invitation will open at 5 p.m. and parking is available in Lot N. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
The BSN pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition in nursing, where graduate candidates are recognized for their achievements and welcomed into the nursing profession. BGSU is pleased to continue this tradition and celebrate the accomplishments of its graduating BSN students.
The School of Nursing at BGSU has a 50-year history of providing nursing education. Today, the School of Nursing is designed to meet the critical demand for nurses in the region and throughout the country. In August 2019, BGSU began a fully online RN to BSN program that allows registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma in nursing to continue their education and earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. BGSU graduated its first class of RN to BSN students in December 2020.
Receiving a nursing pin signifies membership in the proud and loyal society of nurses, comprising an estimated 29 million worldwide, with nearly 4 million in the United States. BGSU is honored to be a part of this tradition and congratulates its graduating BSN students on their achievements.
