The top-ranked Bowling Green State University Online MBA program is the most affordable program of its kind in Ohio and ranks in the top 20% nationwide, according to Fortune magazine.

The global business publication listed BGSU No. 1 in Ohio and No. 17 overall in its Business School for Less 2025 rankings.

“We are excited to be recognized for our affordability, “ said Connie Disbro, assistant director of the Online MBA program. “In uncertain economic times, students are looking for an affordable program with the best ROI. With our high-quality faculty, AACSB accreditation and excellent student services, we are happy that we can provide students with a comprehensive online education at an affordable price.”

The BGSU Online MBA program can be completed online in as few as 12 months, with in-state tuition costing $17,850 and out-of-state tuition costing $18,180.

Beyond its affordability, the Online MBA — offering specializations in accounting, finance, marketing and supply chain management — is consistently recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, student experience and employment outcomes.

Poets&Quants ranked the program as the No. 1 online MBA program in Ohio for 2025, building on its recognition as a top program in the state and country in 2024. The Schmidthorst College of Business has also been designated as a “Best Business School” in the Midwest by The Princeton Review for 14 consecutive years.

Recent BGSU alumna Alexis Anton ‘24 was drawn to the program for its flexibility, affordability and support.

"The University and program focus on students continuing their careers while providing a competitive and affordable experience,”  said Anton, a technical designer for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. “The amazing resources made me feel like part of the University, offering me support and student perks without being physically on campus.”

Through the AACSB-accredited program, students learn from the same world-class BGSU faculty who teach in-person classes at the University, ensuring a quality and engaging learning opportunity that prepares students for career advancement.

BGSU is the only university in Ohio, and one of 10 nationally, to earn the Quality Matters Online Learner Support certificate for all its online programs, reflecting the high level of support and critical student and academic services BGSU Online provides.

Committed to keeping education accessible, BGSU continues to waive GRE and GMAT testing for most graduate degrees and certificates, including the Online MBA program. All other required documents must still be submitted for admission consideration.
