While working as a technical uniform designer at PE Systems for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, Alexis Anton, '24, of Cleveland, started looking at ways to advance in her career. With several Bowling Green State University graduates in her family, Anton turned to BGSU Online to further her education.

She was immediately attracted to the BGSU Online MBA program's flexible start times, affordability and ranking as the No. 1 online MBA program in Ohio.

As a technical designer for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, Anton receives sketches from designers, builds out the measurements, creates a proper fit and function and facilitates fit tests with active duty members. On any given day, her office works on four to five project designs simultaneously, sometimes traveling to military bases or the Pentagon to meet with military members.

"My company's support for continued education helped encourage my decision to start the MBA program and tackle it while working full-time," Anton said. "The flexibility and support provided by BGSU Online made the process easier. In my opinion, the BGSU Online MBA is one of the most well-respected, affordable and flexible programs available."

Receiving her undergraduate degree in fashion design from the University of Cincinnati, Anton described her path to an MBA as "untraditional." Once she started her MBA program at BGSU, she knew she had made the right decision almost immediately.

"The University and program focus on students continuing their careers while providing a competitive and affordable experience. The amazing resources made me feel like part of the University, offering me support and student perks without being physically on campus," Anton said.

Committed to redefining student success, BGSU continues to rank as one of the nation's best colleges. U.S. News & World Report lists BGSU among the nation's top online programs for its commitment to having adaptable, relevant programs that prepare students for career success.

For the fifth consecutive year, BGSU also retained its spot as the No. 1 public university in the Midwest students said they would choose again, highlighting the continued confidence and trust in the value of a Bowling Green degree for career and life readiness.

"The supply chain management concentration within the MBA program allowed me to dive deeper into an area that benefited my current career within the apparel industry," Anton said. "A greater understanding of supply chain management allows me to understand how best to procure materials, source fabrics and trims, and navigate potential roadblocks."
