BGSU Women’s Soccer wins second straight MAC championship

Falcons head to NCAA tournament with bracket announcement tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

The Bowling Green State University women’s soccer team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row after defeating Eastern Michigan in penalty kicks 3-1 on Nov. 10 at Cochrane Stadium.

BGSU, the top-seeded team in the tournament, and No. 7 seed EMU had played to a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation play.

The Falcons (15-5-2) defeated Buffalo 2-1 in a MAC Tournament semifinal match Nov. 8 at Cochrane Stadium to advance to the championship game. EMU defeated No. 6 Ohio 5-2 on Nov. 8.
