  • Falter Thomas experiences ‘reality Czech’ as Fulbright Scholar Dec 19, 2018 3:00 PM Dr. Angela Falter Thomas, associate professor in the BGSU School of Teaching and Learning, is bringing active learning techniques and English to education majors at Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, as a Fulbright Scholar this year. The experience has been a ‘reality Czech,” she said, and very rewarding.

Heppe advised graduate candidates from the colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education and Human Development that choices “will define your life’s journey.”

The upcoming Bachelor of Science in resort and attraction management and the Bachelor of Arts in physics will prepare students for in-demand jobs.

The December graduating class includes 1,001 candidates Alumnae Maryrose Sylvester and Jan Heppe will address the degree candidates.

  • BGSU president to deliver his first State of the University address Dec 4, 2018 11:00 AM Bowling Green State University President Rodney K. Rogers will deliver his first State of the University address since becoming president in February. The address will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (December 5) in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. All are welcome to attend.

Peebles credits his experiences and opportunities at BGSU for landing a full-time youth adviser position with the Juvenile Residential Center of Northwest Ohio.

  • BGSU Rugby celebrates 50 years by winning championship Dec 2, 2018 6:00 PM The Bowling Green State University rugby team is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style. The Falcons defeated St Joseph’s University (Philadelphia) 26-7 on Sunday (December 2) in Charlotte, North Carolina, to win the fall 2018 men’s D1AA national championship. The Falcons defense smothered the Hawks all game.
