SCMI Networking Dinner
More than 250 students, faculty, staff, and company representatives gathered for the Fall SCMI Networking Dinner which was a joint meeting with Toledo APICS. The program featured speakers from the newest SCMI member companies who shared their supply chain expertise.
They included
Cintas Corporation: Quiana Barbee and Miranda Yarbough
Dana Holding Corporation: Phil Moylet and Kylie Reiser
Owens-Illinois: Carlos Londono, Matt Graden, and Shaowen Lo
Worthington Industries: Dave Cepek and Jason Water
Following dinner, the SCMI awarded Professional Development Certificates to the following students: Lauren Diehl, Ashley Hillis, Paige Stichler, and Chris Wentling.
Requirements to earn the certificate include good academic performance, co-curricular supply chain management professional development activities and leadership roles, participation in career preparation activities, and completion of at least one internship.
Ten students participated in the SCMI Internship Poster Competition with the winning posters selected by attendee voting. This fall’s winners are
1st place: Brittany Bowers, an internship at Leprino Foods
2nd place: Paige Stichler, an internship at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems
3rd place: Zachary Mayberry, an internship at Marathon Petroleum
