A Message from the Dean Braun
Just a few weeks into the start of our fall semester and the College of Business is busy going beyond business as usual.
I am pleased to announce that U.S. News & World Report just released its annual rankings, and the College of Business at BGSU is among the top tier of business schools in the country.
Business students are participating in the Dean’s Guide to Practical Business Workshop and the Dean’s Golf Workshop where they are learning critical business skills such as networking, golf, dining etiquette, dressing for success and business travel.
Our peer leadership program was a success again this year as our sophomore peer leaders mentored incoming freshmen to help them transition to college life.
We’ve also taken some time to relax and socialize at the Dean’s Picnic on the Green where more than 350 students, faculty and staff played games and enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers.
The culture of engagement in the College continues as a record number of nearly 400 students attended our Student Organization Fair.
We welcomed new members to both our Leadership Council and Young Alumni Board during our September meeting.
Thank you for reading the September issue of Biz News. You will note how our students, faculty and alumni are Going Beyond Business as Usual. If you are aware of other College of Business stories, please share with me at rwbraun@bgsu.edu!
Warm regards,
Raymond Braun, Dean
