Business, Campus Operations reorganized, moving
The offices of Business Operations and Campus Operations are undergoing a bit of reorganization in conjunction with a physical move for some offices.
Surplus Properties and Warehousing (formerly part of Business Operations) are now part of Campus Operations, along with Campus Services.
Purchasing, Postal Services, Asset Disposal and the BG1 Card office remain under Business Operations.
“It makes better business and logistical sense,” said Andrew Grant, director of business operations.
Except for the BG1 Card office, which remains in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, most Business Operations offices will be moving off campus, either to the Huntington Building, 1851 N. Research Drive, or the Woodbridge Warehouse, 441 Woodland Circle. The moves became necessary when it was announced the Park Avenue Warehouse would become the new home of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design, part of the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering.
Surplus Property will move to the Reed Street Warehouse.
In the near future, Postal and Warehousing Services along with Central Receiving will relocate to the Woodbridge Warehouse at 441 Woodland Circle.
Departments listing Central Receiving as a delivery address when making purchases will need to update that address from 101 Park Avenue Warehouse to 441 Woodland Circle at Woodbridge Warehouse.
Surplus Property viewing will be available at the Reed Street Warehouse on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. through the summer. All other times are by appointment only. Call 419-372-9225 for appointments.
