WBGU-PBS hosts live premiere of documentary
BOWLING GREEN, O.—The live broadcast premiere of the WBGU-PBS documentary “Bowling Green Women’s Basketball: A Legacy of Excellence” will take place at 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, on WBGU-TV HD channel 27.1, Bowling Green State University’s Public Broadcasting System television station.
The documentary traces Bowling Green women’s basketball from its beginning in 1918 to the present. The premiere will be hosted by producer Larry Weiss, former BGSU women’s coach Sue Hager, and WBGU-TV’s Steve Kendall. Current coaches and players will be in the studio staffing a phone bank as part of the station’s fall membership drive.
Viewers will be able to purchase DVDs of the documentary to support WBGU-PBS activities. Ten percent of the DVD sales will be donated to the BGSU women’s basketball program.
The broadcast can also be seen on Time-Warner Cable channels 12 and 1012 in Bowling Green and on other cable channels in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
