Sustainability expert keynote speaker for event

BOWLING GREEN, O.—A pioneer in the sustainability movement will be the keynote speaker for the Ray Marvin Leadership Summit to be held at Bowling Green State University on Oct. 25. Darcy Winslow will discuss “Sustainable Inspiration – Leading from the Edge” at 4 p.m. in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

Winslow spent more than 20 years with Nike where she held several leadership positions. She ran the women’s apparel business and was the key leader in spearheading a major sustainability initiative, which made Nike a global leader in corporate social and environmental responsibility.

She is currently an executive-in-residence and senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, program director for Willamette University’s Sustainable Enterprise Program, the founder of Designs for a Sustainable World Collective, and an adjunct faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership.

The BGSU summit is made possible by alumnus Ray Marvin, who is the founding executive director of the National Association of Attorneys General and is a successful entrepreneur in the Washington, D.C. area.
