BGSU Firelands fall enrollment achieves record

HURON, O.–Bowling Green State University’s Firelands campus reached a new milestone with a fall 2010 headcount enrollment exceeding 2,500 for the first time in the college’s 42 year history. All state colleges and universities are required to report enrollment data to the state of Ohio on the 15th day after the start of classes.

This semester, 2,517 students are enrolled in courses through BGSU Firelands, a 3.9 percent increase over the previous fall semester (which was also a record setting enrollment for the college). The total number of credit hours taken by students also showed a tremendous 26.1 percent increase, from 20,049 student credit hours in fall 2009, to 25,282 student credit hours in fall 2010.
