BGSU celebrates 268th summer commencement
BOWLING GREEN, O.—On Saturday, Aug. 7, Bowling Green State University will honor its summer graduates with a commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. on the University Hall lawn. Over 1,200 diplomas will be awarded, including 641 degrees granted through the Graduate College.
The commencement speaker is 1974 graduate Cheryl Krueger. Krueger started Cheryl & Co. with one cookie store in Columbus, and built it into a $50 million corporation. In 2005 the cookie, gourmet dessert and gift basket retailer was sold to 1-800-Flowers with Krueger remaining CEO until her 2009 retirement. She recently founded KRUEGER + CO. Consulting, Inc., which helps companies develop creative marketing and sales strategies and improve financial performance.
