Nontraditional student orientation slated Aug. 18
BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University invites recently admitted students who have had at least a one-year break in education since high school and those attending part time or taking evening classes to a special orientation program on Saturday, Aug. 18.
The Fall 2007 Nontraditional Student Orientation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon that Saturday in 2 College Park Office Building. Family members and friends are welcome to attend the orientation as well.
Stan Lewis, director of Adult Learner Services, and Karen Meyers, assistant director, will be on hand to explain the many options for earning academic credit toward a degree and ways to fund one's education.
A panel of current adult students will discuss their experiences at BGSU, provide helpful hints for adult learners and answer questions about the University. Participants will learn about the campus, evening parking, financial aid, University technology, academic advising, and student programming, and receive other helpful tips.
