A Guide to BGSUserves

1. Go to the BGSUserves platform.
2. Select “Log In,” even if you are a first-time visitor.
3. Log in with your BGSU username and password. You may need to authenticate with DUO Security. You will receive a message that you successfully created your account.
   Warning: Creating an account with an email other than your BGSU email will prevent groups from finding your profile and tracking your service hours or impacts.
4. You can modify your profile at this time. Or you can update your profile information later by clicking the “Hi (your name)” link.

1. Select “Explore” on the top of the home page.
2. Select the “Groups” tab. 
3. Search for your organization. You may need to enter “Bowling Green, OH” or the alternate location information for the group you are trying to connect with. 
4. After reaching your organization’s page, select the “Join” button.

1. Select “Explore” on the top of the home page.
2. Use the search bar to look for a service opportunity. You may search by location, event name or by interest.
3. After selecting an opportunity, review the details and requirements for the event. If you want to volunteer, select the Register button and submit the form.
4. To modify or cancel your registration, navigate back to this page and select “Update Registration.”

You can do this two ways:

1. Visit the organization’s page that you volunteered for.
   Select “Add Impact” and submit the form to ensure your hours (or impact) are approved. 
2. After logging in, hover over your profile information.
   Select “Add Impact” from the dropdown menu and then the organization you worked with. (You must have joined the group for it to appear.) Submit the form to ensure the impact is approved.

1. Once your subgroup page has been created, you will have access to essential functions such as adding users, posting events and customizing your profile. 
2. To access the administrative end of BGSUserves, log in to your profile. 
3. Select “Manage” in the top navigation bar and then select the name of the group you wish to manage. 
4. Select from the options to manage your profile, add users, pull reports, post events and more.
