OER grant recipients announced
In celebration of Open Education Week 2025, the University Libraries and the Scholarly Communication and Open Educational Resources team are thrilled to announce the three recipients of this year’s Open Educational Resources (OER) Creation Grant. The grant will fund the creation of OERs that can be used in various courses. The following are the recipients and the textbooks they plan to create:
- Dr. Jyotshana Gautam, College of Arts and Sciences, will create a Biology Lab Manual for use in BIOL 2050.
- Dr. Mahmood Mousavi, College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering, will write a textbook on Metrology, Geometric Dimensioning, and Tolerance for ENGT 3500.
- Dr. Evan Petersen, College of Health and Human Services, will create a series of videos demonstrating various physical therapy techniques for use in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
All of these OERs are expected to be completed by mid-2026 and will provide new options for open textbooks in their respective areas of study. We are looking forward to sharing each as they are completed!
