SAAC Reports

The Student Achievement Assessment Committee (SAAC) coordinates the review of academic units' Program Learning Outcome (PLO) assessment plans and reports.

PLO Assessment Plan

The purpose of the PLO Assessment Plan is to serve as a roadmap for assessment processes. The plan documents PLOs and their alignment with the University Learning Outcomes. The plan also contains information about the PLO curriculum relationship and communication processes. Additionally, the PLO Assessment Plan provides a multi-year plan including a curriculum plan, an assessment plan, and rationale.

PLO Assessment Report

The main goal of assessment or “assurance of learning” is to improve the effectiveness of academic and co-curricular programming. The SAAC PLO Report provides a tool for academic units to assess students’ achievement of their PLOs. The key to exemplary assessment is demonstrating how student achievement data is being used to improve the academic program. To assess PLOs and continually enhance the learning experience of students, course level data are collected, analyzed, and discussed. The SAAC report documents faculty involvement in assessment efforts, identifies and describes the PLOs, reviews the results related to expectations for student achievement, and examines how the results are being applied to improve programs.
