Schmidthorst College of Business Student Ambassadors Celebrate with a Senior Dinner and Reunion
Schmidthorst College of Business Student Ambassadors celebrated many successes this semester.
The Senior Dinner recognized the graduating class of 2022. Dean Braun and his wife, Dr. Theresa Popp Braun, hosted a dinner for the cohort at The Heights restaurant in Toledo, Ohio. Student Ambassadors listened to a presentation given by Executive Board Member Matt DeAmon where he reflected on all the memories, accomplishments, and fun times the cohort had together.
“The senior dinner was a great chance to get to relive all the great memories I have with the other ambassadors,” said Brandi Newberry, a senior management major. “We also got to celebrate our accomplishments and receive our trophy and medal which was really special.”
The alumni relations team of the Student Ambassadors hosted a ten-year reunion to celebrate the success of the group’s alumni and give past and present ambassadors an opportunity to network and catch up. Dean Braun founded the program in 2013 to engage students, prospective students and alumni in fulfilling the Schmidhorst College of Business mission.
Kelsey Sager, a senior International Business and Finance major, was chair of the team and planned most of the event.
The reunion was held at Beckett’s Burger Bar in downtown Bowling Green, and attendees ranged from the first cohort in 2013 to recent 2021 graduates.
“It was great to reconnect with these alumni and celebrate their professional successes,” said Ray Braun, dean of the Schmidhorst College of Business. “The Student Ambassador program has made a positive impact on both the College of Business and the students themselves. I am extremely proud of all their hard work and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.”
