Dean's Message November 2021

Greetings from the Schmidthorst College,

We are halfway through the a busy and exciting semester.

Faculty and students are relieved to have midterms behind them, students are busy preparing their schedules for the Spring 2022 semester, and we are all looking forward to Thanksgiving break.

BGSU hosted the Fall Career EXPO earlier in October and offered in-person and virtual opportunities for students of all majors to connect with more than 200 employers about internship and full-time employment opportunities.

We are very proud of our students and their accomplishments this semester. Three business students, Katelyn Katinas, Kerrigan Dick and Jalin Golden were accepted into the prestigious Ohio Export Internship Program at Ohio State University. Additionally, Sales and Services Marketing students Trent Graham and Noah Schumacker placed second and third respectively in the Ohio Sales Challenge sponsored by Gartner. Congratulations to these students!

Also, as we prepare holiday meals this season, prepare for a potential turkey shortage and some sticker shock at the grocery store.
