Management Professor Elected to Lead International Business Organization in Midwest
Dr. Man Zhang , associate professor of international business in the Department of Management, was elected president of the Academy of International Business (AIB)-U.S. Midwest Chapter. Dr. Zhang has been involved with AIB-Midwest since 2008. She served in different executive positions in this chapter, including secretary and program chair.
The Academy of International Business - U.S. Midwest Chapter is an organization that fosters research and education in the field of international business. This purpose is accomplished by practitioners and scholars in business, government, and academic areas sharing their research and professional efforts.
Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on entrepreneurial capabilities of small exporting firms in emerging markets with accepted research in outlets such as the Multinational Business Review, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of International Entrepreneurship, Journal of Technology Research, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of Academy of Business and Economics and ICIS proceedings. Dr. Zhang’s most recent research involved global companies in three countries, namely China, Thailand and S. Korea.
During her time at BGSU, Dr. Zhang’s primary teaching responsibilities have been with International Business courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
