BGSU ADVISING NOTES
Bowling Green Perspective (BGP) courses:
- A minimum of 36 hours of BGP courses must be completed(this is done by following the Associate of Arts to Bachelor of Science in Resort and Attraction Management Degree Plan/Transfer Pathway and including the International Perspective and Cultural Diversity in the US requirements below)
- International Perspective–choose onefrom the following Tri-C courses:
- Humanities and Arts: ART 2020, ART 2030, ENG 2700, MUS 1050
- Social and Behavioral Science: ANTH 1010, ANTH 2010, GEOG 1010, HIST 1010, HIST101H,HIST 1020, HIST 102H, POL 2030, POL 2070
- FREN 2010, FREN 2020, GER 2010, GER 2020, SPAN 2010, SPAN 2020(FREN, GER, SPAN does not satisfy Ohio Transfer 36 requirements)
- Cultural Diversity in the US - Choose one from the following Tri-C Courses:
- Humanities and Arts: ENG 2510, ENG 2520
- Social and Behavioral Science: HIST 1510, HIST 151H, SOC 2310, SOC 2550, UST 2020, WST 1510
- Foreign Language requirement:
- Students who have not completed study of a language other than English in high school, may successfully complete two semesters of the same language (other than English) at the university level. The Foreign Language Admission Requirement will apply to transfer students who have completed fewer than 30 semester hours of credit-bearing post-secondary courses, but will not apply to those students who have completed 30 or more semester hours of credit-bearing post-secondary courses at BGSU Firelands or at another college or university. RESORT AND ATTRACTION MANAGEMENT (RAAM) PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Transfer-student friendly, degree completion program utilizing a cohort model where students take RAAM courses during their junior and senior years at a brand new multipurpose facility in downtown Sandusky
- The only program of its kind in the U.S., co-developed by BGSU and Cedar Fair Entertainment Company
