Department of Management Advisory Board
The Department of Management Advisory Council is comprised of BGSU alumni, business professionals, individual supporters, and faculty who support the activities of the Department. The Council draws upon their professional expertise to advise the Department Chair and faculty on strategic planning, student mentorship, faculty engagement with industry, and alumni affairs. In addition, the Council promotes the Department by highlighting the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni in their professional network. The Council convenes at least two times per year. Members are invited to participate in meetings and provide advice to the Chair between meetings.
Members are selected by the Department Chair. Prospective members should spend a statement of interest to the Department Chair. See the successful business professionals who have already made the commitment to serve on the Department of Management Advisory Council.
Experience:
Douglas became Director, Human Resources Business Partner at The E.W Scripps Company, a leading media firm in April 2020. Previously, he spent 11 years at The Home Depot serving as a District HR Manager, designing and leading customer service initiatives, employee relations, talent development, succession planning, staffing and payroll, performance management, and more. Douglas is also currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Development and Change, Organizational Leadership at BGSU.
