Amanda Gargac

Amanda Gargac is a hyperrealistic figurative painter from Toledo, Ohio. Amanda is a first year Two Dimensional Studies Master of Fine Arts Candidate with a focus in Painting at Bowling Green State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a concentrationin Painting from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Amanda was invited to exhibit at the Emerging Artists Exhibition at the Garrett Museum of Art in Garrett, Indiana and received Best of Show at their following Open Call exhibition (2021). She was an artist in residence at the South Bend Museum of Art (2019) culminating with an exhibition at theMuseum (2020).
Amanda has exhibited across the nation, most notably in the MoMA PS1Gallery in Queens, New York City, New York (2018), her solo exhibition at Handmade Toledo inToledo, Ohio (2018), and in the United States Capitol Building in Washington D.C. (2017). Amanda is also nationally recognized with a National Merit Award in Visual Arts from theYoung Arts Foundation (2018) and a National Gold Medal from the Scholastic Art and WritingAwards (2017) among other awards.
