Residence Hall Comparison
On-Campus Housing
Living on campus is an exciting part of the college experience and gives students the opportunity to build life-long friendships and also supports academic success. It has been proven that students who live on campus have a higher GPA – and persistence towards graduation – faster than their peers who live off campus. Because of this, Bowling Green State University’s Board of Trustees has set a Residency Requirement that states a student must live on campus their first two years.
Students often ask "which hall is the best hall?" and to be honest, we can't answer that. Each hall is unique in its own way just like the students who live in them. We encourage you to look over all the options to figure out what feels most comfortable to you. Please reach out to our office if you have any questions or schedule a campus tour through the Office of Admissions.

Every residence hall has A/C in the common areas, but not every bedroom. For the majority of the year, A/C is not necessary in Bowling Green, Ohio (average temp: 60°F/39°F) but if A/C is important to you, consider choosing a hall with rooms equipped with A/C.
Learning Communities
All new students should consider joining a learning community. Members of these communities have the unique opportunity to live in an assigned block of rooms in the same residence hall where they are surrounded by others who share their same interests. Being a member will enhance your college and living experience and make it easier for you to meet friends when you move-in.
