Shanklin AI Innovation Award Recipients
The emergence of generative AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT has highlighted the need to understand how AI will impact higher education and student success.
Last academic year, BGSU faculty learned about AI and explored its use in teaching and learning by engaging in professional development opportunities through the Center for Faculty Excellence such as the AI in Higher Education Series and the Teaching and Learning with AI Community of Practice.
In an effort to encourage, support, and recognize AI innovation in teaching and learning, the Shanklin AI Innovation Award was created. Last spring, faculty were encouraged to submit proposals for innovative teaching and learning projects that use AI tools to enhance student success and outcomes.
