Concerning Changes in Dental Benefits

Memorandum of Understanding

WHEREAS, Appendix III of the Collective Bargaining Agreement effective May 1, 2013-July 1. 2016 (''CBA") between Bowling Green State University (''the University") and the Bowling Green State University-Faculty Association ("the BGSU-FA") provides a Summary of Dental Plan Benefits: and

WHEREAS, Appendix III states under "Eligible People" that dependent children are eligible "to the end of the calendar year in which they tum 19" and that dependent unmarried children are eligible "to the end of the calendar year in which they turn 24" as long as they remain full-time students: and

WHEREAS, the University has determined that under the current dental plan, eligible dependents do not have to be students to maintain coverage until age 24:

NOW THEREFORE, the University and the BGSU-F A agree as follows:

1. The phrase "and eligible as long as they are full-time students" shall be deleted from the second paragraph under the subheading. ''Eligible People" in Appendix III, such that the paragraph will now read as follows:
   
   Also eligible at your option ae your legal spouse or same-sex domestic partner, your dependent children to the end of the calendar year in which they tum 19, and your dependent unmarried children to the end of the calendar year in which they turn 24.
