State Funded Projects Process
- All State Funded Projects begin with the Capital Plan Process.
- After approval by the Board of Trustees, a Project Request Form is submitted to Campus Planning and the project proceeds into the planning phase.
- Once the Project Planning Process has been completed, the project is assigned a Project Manager.
- The project manager selects an architectural / engineering firm for project.
- Project manager requests release of funds for architectural / engineering fees and reimbursable expenses.
- The project manager develops a project budget for inclusion in the Controlling Board Request for Release of Funds form prepared by Campus Planning.
- Campus Planning creates a Controlling Board Request for Release of Funds for architectural / engineering fees. The release of funds will be either approved through Director's sign off or go before the Controlling Board approval process. Director's sign off is eligible for those projects that have been approved as line items. Controlling board approval is required for all projects that have not been identified as specific line items.
- The project design takes place (schematic, design development, construction documents, etc.)
- Bid process begins for construction component.
- Project manager requests release of construction funds and contingency, moveable equipment, asbestos abatement, local administration, etc.
- Campus Planning creates a Controlling Board Request for Release of Funds for construction funds. The release of funds will be either approved through Director's sign off or go before the Controlling Board approval process. Director's sign off is eligible for those projects that have been approved as line items. Controlling board approval is required for all projects that have not been identified as specific line items.
- Additional controlling board requests are submitted, as the project requires (moveable equipment, etc.).
