BGSU to host 45th annual Bowling Green New Music Festival beginning Oct. 17
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Featuring seven concerts over three days, Bowling Green State University will host the 45th annual Bowling Green New Music Festival from Oct. 17 to Oct. 19 in Moore Musical Arts Center and livestreaming on the College of Musical Arts YouTube channel.
In addition to featuring a variety of musical performances, this year's festival will include works by guest composer Paola Prestini and guest ensemble Parker String Quartet with special performances by cellist Jeffrey Zeigler. Prestini will also give a composer's talk on Oct. 17.
All performances and events are free except for the closing concert on Oct. 19 featuring the BGSU Collegiate Chorale and Philharmonia. Tickets are available for purchase at BGSU.edu/the-arts/tickets.
Organized by the MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music (MACCM) and the BGSU College of Musical Arts, the festival supports the creation of new works while engaging the University and surrounding communities in musical appreciation and awareness.
