BGSU to celebrate National Transfer Student Week with events, activities starting Oct. 21

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – As part of 2024 National Transfer Student Week, Bowling Green State University will celebrate transfer students from Oct. 21 to 25 with special events and programming across campus.

Highlighting BGSU as the No. 1 public university in Ohio for student experience and opportunities, the five-day celebration will empower transfer students to connect with one another and explore the learning community's comprehensive academic, career and engagement resources.

Some of the week's signature events include:

Sweet treats for transfer students
On Monday, Oct. 21, transfer students are invited to stop by Falcon Outfitters in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to enjoy sweet treats and connect with fellow students.

Transfer student T-shirt swap
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, transfer students are invited to visit Falcon Outfitters between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m to exchange a T-shirt or other item from their previous college or university for a free BGSU T-shirt courtesy of BGSU Athletics.

Transfer student meet-up in the Rad
The BGSU Transfer Student Association will host an evening of games and activities for transfer students on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Radbill Center for College and Life Design, home to the University's one-of-a-kind Life Design program.

Transfer student open house at the Hub
Providing comprehensive student and alumni career services, the Kuhlin Hub for Career Design and Connections will hold an open house for transfer students on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon to meet with career design coaches and leverage internship and employment opportunities.

BGSU is currently accepting applications for Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 semesters.
