BGSU invites community to celebrate 100th homecoming anniversary
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University will host a special, four-day homecoming celebration Sept. 15-18, featuring community-focused events as the University marks its 100th homecoming anniversary.
The community is invited to join in the celebration with block parties, an outdoor movie and family-friendly games and activities which will take place on campus and in the city of Bowling Green, ranked as one of America's best college towns.
Some of the events planned for BGSU homecoming include:
- Welcome Back Party on Court Street
- Circus Thrill Show outside Prout Chapel
- Falconland and Kids Falconland
- Homecoming football game against Marshall
- Meet and greet with Olympic gold medalist and alumnus Dave Wottle
- Alumni Gateway dedication
- Falcon Flames vow renewal
- Freddie and Frieda 5K
- Homecoming fireworks
In addition to multiple events, BGSU homecoming will include campus tours, activities, reunions, giveaways and countless opportunities for Falcons to have fun and make memories. Homecoming attendees will also have the chance to participate in a community art project by adding colored glass pieces to a special mosaic commemorating the 100th year of BGSU homecoming.
