Media professionals share expertise
EVENT: A number of successful media professionals and executives, including Ohio Association of Broadcasters President Christine Merritt, will share their experience and expertise with Bowling Green State University telecommunications students at the inaugural TCOM Career Day. Many of the participants are BGSU alumni.
A variety of informational sessions will be held throughout the day, as well as a keynote luncheon in which students will be assigned to sit with professionals matching their interest. Invited companies will also be conducting on-site interviews for students looking for job/internship openings in the media industry. In particular, the “minority hiring and challenges” panel is possibly the first one held on a university campus, according to the organizers.

The luncheon will be held from 12:30-1:20 p.m. in 228 Union. Christine Merritt’s keynote address will be on "Opportunities and Challenges for the Next Generation of Broadcasters.”
