AmeriCorps forum to be held at BGSU

BOWLING GREEN, O.—UGIVE.org, a nonprofit website that connects high school students to volunteer opportunities, along with Bowling Green State University’s Office of Service-Learning will hold an AmeriCorps forum tomorrow (March 14).

The event is part of AmeriCorps Week, which provides an opportunity to highlight the service being done by members across the country. AmeriCorps is often referred to as the “domestic Peace Corps.”

The first of two sessions starts at 3 p.m. in 308 Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The second session starts at 6 p.m. in 314 Union. A panel of current AmeriCorps members from UGIVE.org, University of Findlay, Ada ReStore, Defiance College and Toledo Grows will discuss the program they serve and answer questions.
